Remember, two audition dates are provided for scheduling convenience, however only one date needs to be attended.  Below I have enclosed a character list or check out the classic film starring Paul Newman, Elizabeth Taylor, and Burl Ives!  HAPPY EARLY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Character List:

Big Daddy Pollit:  The patriarch, plantation owner, and southern tycoon, who worked his way up from humble beginnings through brash bullheadedness. He is rude and very blunt.

Big Mamma Pollit: Big Daddy's wife and matriarch of the family.  She overcompensates for her husband's crabby demeanor with sunny attitude and talkative nature that borders on annoying. She is unwavering loyal to Big Daddy.

Brick Pollit: Maggie's husband and Big Daddy's favorite son.  He is an aging football hero with a drinking problem but somehow he remains good looking and charming.  He is seemingly aloof yet actually fixated on a tragedy from the past.

Maggie "the cat" Pollit:  Brick's wife, who escapes her humble beginnings through beauty and witt by marrying up.  She is charming when need be, making her dangerous, but Brick is now seemingly immune to her looks and charm. It is not a happy marraige.

Mae Pollit: Gooper's wife, mother of three children and pregnant with the fourth.  She is overbearing and scheming, determined to inherit the Pollit fortune.  She is plain but born of high Memphis society.  She definitely wears the pants in the family.

Gooper Pollit:  Mae's huband, and Big Daddy's oldest son.  He is a successful lawyer, but is lacking self-confidence.  He has spent his entire life feeling second best to his brother Brick.

Mae and Gooper's children (affectionately called "the no-neck monsters"):  Dixie, Trixie, and Buster

Sookey:  A plantation servant.

Rev. Tooker:  A party guest and local preacher.  He is ambitious and determined to build his church.

Dr. Baugh:  The Pollit family doctor.
